Divina Frau-Meigs is a graduate of France’s prestigious Ecole Normale Supérieure who now lectures at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University. A media sociologist, she specializes in high-risk content and behaviour, as well as issues related to the acceptance and use of new information and communication technologies.
She holds the UNESCO Chair in “evolving in the era of sustainable digital development: structuring uses and learning to control the information culture”. She promotes human rights and ethics within the media environment, and contributes to the development of the recent European recommendations on education in the media, the autonomy of young people in networks, the filtering systems of the information society and human dignity in the mass media environment.
