When interviewed for Ilham Maad’s radio documentary on the representations of young females of North African descent in France, Wissale Achargui spoke of the recent prevalence of the racially-sensitive word “beurette” in online pornography searches. A history student and intersectional activist, she is a member of the Féministes Contre le Cyberharcèlement collective, which takes action to prevent and denounce cases of cyberstalking and to help the individuals confronted with this problem.
