Jean Marcou

Jean Marcou currently lectures at the Institute of Political Studies in Grenoble. He was previously a resident scientist at the French Institute of Anatolian Studies in Istanbul, where he remains an associate professor and for whom he directed the Observatory of Turkish Political Life between 2006 and 2010. He has also held the titles of director of the French-speaking division of the economics and political sciences faculty at the University of Cairo (2000-2006) and coordinator of the French-speaking political sciences department at the University of Marmara (1988-1992). Back in the present, he is also Head of International Relations at Sciences-Po Grenoble, and the course coordinator of the Masters in Integration and Mutations in the Mediterranean and Middle East.
